Save Car-Free JFKTell Mayor Breed and city leaders how much you love safe, Car-Free JFK and ask for their support in making it permanent
Before the pandemic, JFK Drive was one of the most dangerous streets in San Francisco. Now, this peaceful respite from cars is one of the best things to come out of 2020 — we must make this silver lining permanent. |

Welcome to a Car-Free JFKWe are a group of community members, parents and safe streets advocates that believe that San Francisco deserves more people-first spaces where residents and visitors can be active, enjoy nature and spend time with friends and family.
It makes sense to prioritize more space for people in the 2nd densest city in America. New York city made Central Park Car Free in 2018. We are tired of cars being put first in a park that is meant to serve as a respite from city life, and we would like a safe place for our children (and yours) to play! Review the animated image to the right. Previously every street in Golden Gate park (red) was covered in car traffic, car parking, car danger and car exhaust. Now there is a beautiful, safe, healthy east/west route (Blue) through the park for families to travel & exercise without the stress, fear, noise or exhaust of automobiles.
